This was 3 short stories put into one book. Would I have rather this just have been one big book? Of course like short stories are… whelp, short and therefore you can’t really get THAT much into the plot. But oh well.

Unfortunately I liked the first story the best (Mara), the second one in the middle (Sadie) and then the final story the least (Hannah). So by the end of the book I felt very eh vibes. But then I think to how I thought of the first book I was like yay!!

1) I love Ali Hazelwood. Her books just scratch an itch in me I didn’t know I had. They’re smutty but not that cringy (except for Hannah’s story in this book like I don’t wanna know how a clitoris compares to a specific mountain range lol)

2) all of the guys in these books were so dreamy so obviously that’s a plus. Ofc they’re all like 6ft brooding, charming, handsome men haha

3) we love women in STEM!! And Ali really honed in on that in these books which I lovedddd

Overall this was good! I love a good romance (WHEN ITS DONE RIGHT - which in my case is just any Ali Hazelwood book). The whole 3 short stories vs one normal book was kind of a dagger. But with that being said, they all connected to each other (the girls are all besties) so that at least helped with a connectiveness or cohesiveness of it all.

Ali Hazelwood never disappoints. Pacing felt slightly weird in the first 2 stories, but felt just right in the 3rd. Once I started a story I couldn’t put it down! Fun, easy read.

The first novella was my favorite out of the three! I enjoyed seeing the three friends have their own love stories and professional milestones. Hazelwood does a great job (as always) of building chemistry, even in  the shorter format! I’m always amazed at her ability to write about different STEM fields that feels immersive and realistic, especially knowing she works in neuroscience!

Overall, I thought the 3 novellas were cute, although I would have enjoyed them more if they were longer. I really liked that they were about 3 friends and all the stories tied together, and we got little cameos in each story.
