Me acerqué a este libro por su autora, ganadora del premio Planeta, y porque mucha gente me lo recomendaba y me da pena que finalmente no pueda darle más de 3 estrellas.
La parte buena del libro sin duda es la construcción del thriller, bien estructurado y con final, al menos para mi, inesperado. También me gustó mucho la ambientación de la ciudad y del paganismo, que en el norte se vive mucho.
¿Por qué solo tres estrellas? Porque los personajes me dejaron fría, la relación amorosa no hay quien la compre y los diálogos de esta pareja y principalmente del protagonista no me gustaron ni un poco.
Y para remate, el final. ¿Por qué no cerrar el thriller mejor y cerrarlo de esta manera? La autora estaba buscando la trilogía y se nota en el final.
Como resumen: libro entretenido y fácil de leer. Lo coges y no lo dejas, pero tiene muchos detalles que me chirriaron demasiado.

¡Qué ganas le tenía a este libro! Y madre mía, qué gusto leerlo. El silencio de la ciudad blanca ya forma parte de mi estante de “favoritos de 2020” y si algún descreído se pregunta por qué, aquí os doy cinco razones:

Es entretenido, pero bastante predecible para la mitad del libro. Además, tiene mucho relleno, partes que no serían tan necesarias.

Atmospheric serial killer thriller set in Spain! This was a book recommended by Carolina, our book girl in Argentina and her rave review got a bunch of our book tribe to pick this one up. The Silence in the White City is the first in a trilogy with Inspector Unai Lopez de Ayala, also known as Kraken. Kraken is investigating a series of murders that are very similar to murders that terrified the city twenty years earlier. Murders that someone has already been convicted and put in prison for. I really enjoyed the setting of the book, the mystery had me engaged and I am looking forward to the next book in the trilogy.
