This is one of my favorites of all time. When I was a child and my mom read it to me, I thought it was absolutely hilarious and a little scary. Having re-read it as an adult, it is absolutely hilarious and poignant. And educational. And wonderful. Every adult should read this book. It has all the lessons we need to remember about how we move through and view the world, and it does it in an entertaining, interesting and tongue-in-cheek way. It will always be a favorite.

My mother read this book out loud to my sister and I when we were very small, and recently got it for me for my 23rd birthday. I reread the whole thing in one sitting, and it's incredible how a book that appears to be made for children holds so much perspective for people of all ages. I anticipate that this is a book I will read again and again and again.

This book was a delight to read, for those who enjoy wordplay. I often wonder how authors formulate clever text, but Norton Juster took it to the next level in this book. Lots of fun to read.

I’ve read this book before, but just finished reading with my 6 year old and I loved sharing it with her. She really enjoyed the Earl and the Humbug the best.

I'm ashamed it took me so long to read this book. Read it, now!

This book is beautiful! I've read it I think around 17 times since I first got it and I just never get over how much I love it!
