I really enjoyed this one! It really feels like the first book in the series, but I appreciate the care and time taken to really draw us into the world of Miraji. Love an impulsive female MC, you don’t see a lot of those <3

Fantastic world building. The end of the book is a pretty good stopping point, so I'm not sure yet if I'll pick up the rest of the series, but overall it's a solid read.

A very fun read, I love the universe and appreciated the chemistry between the two main characters- it was a nice change to have them blatantly into each other from the start, instead of contrived distaste for one another

Re-read this book last night and today because I was in need of a comfort read! I remember being pleasantly surprised by this story the first time I read it and I still loved it so much! I felt very emotional as I read about all the characters I have come to love in this series being introduced and learning to trust each other. I also absolutely love the setting, the writing is fun and just lush enough and very action packed, the magic is A++, I lOVE ME SOME FOUND FAMILY, Shazad and Hala have my entire heart- ugh😭❤.
All though I don't feel anything about the main romance I'm giving it a pass bcs it's not problematic or anything either and doesn't interrupt with the main plotline.
It's such an epic story that gives me the perfect escapism and has enough tragedy to keep me invested as well😍
long story short I RECOMMEND, PLS PICK THIS UP IF YOU LIKE YA FANTASY AND FOUND FAMILY AND REBEL WARS. :)
