He has dried all of her worried tears and now she smiles all day long. I know how she feels, being so ridiculously happy for no reason. I should be miserable like the others that have not resonated. After all, I am on the same wintry planet they are on. I have no route home. I will be living in this caveman culture for the rest of my days like everyone else. But…I have Zennek. I do not care how much ice is in this world, because I have Zennek’s smiles and his blushes. I have a mate that is bashful around his tribe and turns into an absolute tiger the moment we are alone. Let it snow all it wants.

I enjoyed Marlene's story. She is truly a very sweet person, and is private and very much reminds me of my own friends. I think this book did her perfect justice.

This story backtracks to the very beginning of all our adventures to tell the love story of Zennek and Marlene. The story begins in the "present" but we quickly backtrack as Marelene and Zennek reflect on their unlikely pairing. She is bold and unafraid of her new surroundings (unlike the other humans). He is... so shy. He never thought he would resonate to anyone. They're so perfect.

I read these on audiobook so it did take me a little bit to adjust to Marlene's accent, but I ended up adoring her as an FMC. I love how brave and rational she is, and I really loved her backstory. Zennek is lovely and perfect. The way he adopted her language, culture, and even superstition is so perfect and romantic to me. Also they're gonna have the only TRI-lingual alien human babies!! Crazy!!

While I really enjoyed this book, I did feel that the "current timeline" plot was kinda dumb and unnecessary. I get that it was just a vehicle to shoot us back into the past but like... you could tell. You know?

These are fluffy and fun. I always recommend

Loved this one, adorable and romantic. Although listening to the audiobook with Marlene's French accent was difficult at times

I don't agree with the cover on this book at all. However, I very much enjoyed the FMC who was a break from the "standard american" girl. Having her blue alien be shy was also a change.

A friend recommended this. Not sure what I did to deserve it! I kept thinking it was meant to be humorous, but no. I love good smut, but this isn’t it. So so so hard to listen to (no, I’m not being punny.) Not sure the written version would be an improvement.
