This book threw me around with no regard for my feelings. Heartbreaking, funny, back to heartbreaking, full of hope, full of despair, hopeful again. A rollercoaster for sure. Relatable on so many levels, even if you've never been through the specific things that Demon has. At times I loved his character, and at times I was disappointed in him. The characters in this book felt real and raw. Maybe some of it was predictable, but isn't that kind of the point sometimes?

4.5 rounded up. Really loved Demon as a character. I’m glad I hadn’t read David Copperfield so I didn’t know how it ended. Was slow towards the end with so much about drugs but otherwise great book
