I really enjoyed this book! It wasn’t like anything I’ve read before. I couldn’t put it down and found myself getting so lost in the story which in the context of the book’s setting, is lovely. I love the way the characters are described and just an all round warm, interesting, hopeful and intriguing read.
read this with the girls at work but I would have read this on my own also. It's a unique concept with a little bit of mystery. If there wasn't so much talk of abuse, both physical and mental, I would say it's a cozy magical realism. There was quite a lot of abuse talk and that almost made me put down the book. The ending tied everything up nicely without giving everything away and saying it at point blank.

Chaos and not the fun kind. Every half formed idea proposed for the outline of this book made the final cut. There were three character POVs because not one of them was strong enough to stand alone. Their voices weren’t distinct and I had whiplash with the unprompted twists and turns. Managed to get through it but really wanted to give up.
