I found this book to be just okay. It was easy to read and it never crossed the line into boring, but I definitely wasn't as interested in the story as I probably should have been. It didn't help that everything towards the end started to become easily predictable and I was just waiting for the characters to catch up. I also don't think there needed to be three alternating POVs, Martha's and Opaline's would've been just fine.

I enjoyed the book and wanted to keep reading despite it being unlike things I usually read. However there were some aspects that didn't fully work or were resolved too neatly, such that the ending didn't quite feel satisfying. I also found some of the cliche romantic decisions frustrating, particularly in Opaline's storyline.
