Kind of an average thriller, I feel like I've read the basic story (domestic thriller with amnesia) before and I didn't feel the author brought anything new to the table here.

This is book was highly readable and I got through it quickly. I enjoyed it until the ending. The ending was frustrating and disappointing.  I’m all for a smart cunning female character but  

I hate how Karen faked her abuse. It perpetuates the myth that women experiencing DV are lying. It was just disappointing.

A stranger in the house is nothing extraordinary, but it's a wonderful page turner and is told at such a good pace. Shari doesn't let the twists get out of control and the plot unfolds very nicely. I would recommend this book to those who need a good, entertaining, and easy read on vacation. 😊
