Wow! The ending was shocking, it answered a lot of questions but also left me with more. I can’t wait to finish the trilogy! I think this one was more enjoyable than Caraval because the world had already been built so there was more plot! I enjoyed Tella’s character more in this book but Scarlett is still my favorite ❤️

I’d read the first like 100 pages of this book before but gave up. I'm glad I tried again. It was really hard for me to get into but I’d say about the second half was really good. I adore Jacks.

Legendary is the second book of the Caraval series by Stephanie Garber.  Donatella and Scarlett Dragna have made it out of Caraval alive and have successfully escaped their cruel father, but the game isn’t over yet.  What Scarlett is unaware of is that Tella made a deal with a stranger and now it’s time to pay her debt.  Except what Tella owes is something no one has ever been able to tell, the name of the master of Caraval.

This book was great just like the first one (which I have not yet reviewed), it is not a five-star read just because of the setting, to me it was just a minor thing but still impacted my overall rating.  Stephanie’s writing is exceptional and reminds me of Marissa Meyer’s.  This book was tense and mysterious, it had me on my toes the majority of the book.  During the last few chapters, I cried and my sister was concerned (lol).  Tella is a very delicate character and she is placed perfectly in this book.

I am rating this book 4.5 stars because this book was perfect on all scores, but again, the setting just wasn’t for me personally.  I love Stephanie and her writing and this book was amazing just like the others!

That’s all,
Melissa

Tella is the real mvp and I can’t wait for the FINALE! I was warned that this series reads with little romance but I’m not mad about it. Sequels are hard to review without spoilers but I think her writing style gets better with each book and so far I recommend. The magic that is Caraval fills my cup enough! ✨
