The plot bored me a lot ngl and there was a lot of stuff in there in particular how sexual assault victims were portrayed which rubbed me the wrong way

Way, Way, waaaaaay too long. So many repetitions of everything that has happened. Like we get told the story, then Marple repeats it to someone, and then later on we get the version from another person, and the last sequence is just the whole plot retold.
Also: Serious victim blaming, slut shaming, and misogyny. I know this book is set in another time, but this was so bad.

Graphic: Homophobia and Misogyny
Moderate: Death, Grief, Rape, Sexism, Sexual assault, Sexual violence, and Toxic relationship
Minor: Kidnapping
Pretty horrific rape apologism in chapters 12 and 14, along the lines of girls “these days” crying rape to entrap boys. Queerphobic angles throughout.
