I’m ashamed to say I knew absolutely nothing about “the Troubles”. This book was both engaging and incredibly informative on this dark time in Ireland vs England history. I knew there had been significant historical struggles but did not know of modern liberation/republic movements. It’s incredible to think these battles were taking place on city streets. I appreciated the interpersonal relationships demonstrated and deeply introspection of some of the characters covered.
