Really enjoyed the story telling. Told how the distinct lives of notable figures during the Troubles intertwined to ask important questions about the role of violence during occupation. Dove into all the nuances of the topic and the implications of such an event on individual lives and the collective.

Well-written and researched.
Immensely readable non-fiction narrative of several leading figures during and after The Troubles, interwoven with the abduction and murder of Jean McConville.
Loads of real villains in this book - some more easy to spot than others.
And one for sure got away clean despite being guilty as sin.
