FIRST THOUGHTS:
I really appreciated the film, and it’s interesting to see how much Chung and his performers took the script and made it into something really special. The script doesn’t feel as well-paced as the final film, and much of the dialogue doesn’t work on the page as well as it does in performance. Still, it’s a good blueprint for what the film would end up becoming, and it certainly illustrative in seeing how direction can add so much to a script.
