Okay, I'm a jealous bitch so I hate when the author "redeems" the MMC's ex that he used to hurt her and make her jealous. Why would you make her friendly with the FMC or worse, give her a bigger/more important role plus her own lover?! We hate her in book 1 and now you're showering her with compliments and making her important? Ugh. Fcking Scarlett.

Also, why make Aisling a true mate for Rowan and not Finn and Darrow's as well? The connection feels unequal - feels like a main guy plus side guys.

Anyways, the plot gets more complicated in this book but I loved how Aisling's control is definitely improving, a lot.

Really great reverse harem smut, but, surprisingly, also a great storyline. There are a few typos and missing words, hence my rating. Without those, I'd consider giving it 5 stars. I'm looking forward to starting book 3

Absolutely fan-freaking-tastic!!!  This  second book was even better than the first!  Ash is growing into her magic and things are progressing with the guys!  Things with Rowan are back and forth with major drama!  Nikolai is still a mystery but we do find out more of his story in this book and IT IS AMAZING!!!  I am absolutely, unequivocally, incontrovertibly, unconditionally in love with this series!!!  I cannot wait to read the rest!!  Headed for book three as fast as possible!!

Ruthless Liege (Shadowsend Vampire Clan: Book 2) By L.A. McGinnis is absolutely fantastic. I could not put this book down. This book and series check all the right boxes!
Aisling is an amazing female lead that you gravitate towards and cheer for. She has a lot to deal with as she is learning her powers and dealing with her mate. He definitely needs some warming up as he deals with their past. Then all the other men in the RH. All while they deal with the elders and so much more.
I have wanted to read this series for awhile and I am so glad I finally did. I highly recommend it! In fact I already convinced one friend to read It!

Action packed and extremely eventful

Note: this is the second book of the series and must be read after the first, it is not a stand-alone and picks up from where book 1 ends!

This second installment of the series comes right at you! From the get go, the reader is thrown right into the action and it’s impossible to put this read down! A lot happens in this second installment and it is imperative to read the first book prior.

The storyline in this series is exiting, intense and a thriller of a ride! Despite it being fast paced and action packed, it is still easy to follow and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat!

The development of characters and the world building leaves one feeling a whole mess of emotions, and this is just such a fantastic series to read! This installment contains banter, heart-wrenching discoveries, humor, spice, action and is a fantastically rounded story with some very satisfying conclusions.

Note: this is an ongoing story so the conclusion in this book is not the end, the next installment will follow on this!

I’m fortunate enough to have obtained a copy through booksirens and willingly leave this honest review.

This is the second book in the Shadowsend series.

I didn't want to put it down. Even though it the biggest so far, the ending came to fast. The balance between the character developpement and the action was perfect
