I love a book that has 3 different timelines, with 3 characters' stories, you know they are going to come together, and it is like a slow mystery uncovering the clues, but it's a historical fiction novel!

Rounding up. Pretty easy to guess the connections. Still an enjoyable read.

This book was okay but there were too many similarities between the 3 character's stories. It was hard to get to know Aurelie, Daisy and Babs. The book is written with each of them telling their own story in their own time - Aurelie's during WW1, Daisy during WW2 and Babs during 1964. Everytime the plot would become interesting the chapter ended and it was on to the next era. I did like when Babs gets a letter from the lawyer that starts the whole thing off the law firm was Willig, Williams & White ;-)

Overall I’d say I enjoyed it, but I would not have kept going had I not been reading the same time as a friend.

It was predictable early on how the stories intertwined. But that’s a good thing because it was hard at times to keep up with all three stories.

I did not enjoy Aurelie’s story at all. I got bogged down in it and wanted to quit the book many times during those chapters. I found myself skimming through her chapters to just pick up the main idea.

I would classify this book at a romance novel set in historical times rather than historical fiction.

A story of strong women and the connection across time and wars. Each is fighting to survive in a world that has been turned upside down. The book moves between the stories and as the stories progress it reveals secrets and the connections between the women. As a reader I have been suffering from fatigue from World War II stories but this book went beyond the typical war story and focused on the story of the women.

Thanks to the publishers and the NetGalley for providing an ARC for my honest review.

LOVED! This had all of my favorite things in a book - wartime romance, spies, multi-timelines, interwoven stories, a mystery, and so much more!! Kept me on my toes the whole time and I was trying to put the pieces together myself. Didn't want to put this one down, and I absolutely fell in love with all of the characters. SO GOOD!!

An intertwined story of three women, three time periods, written by three authors (all of whom I adore), this was a convoluted but beautiful story of life during war and the sacrifices made by ordinary people, who then become extraordinary in light of the horrors surrounding them.

Love.

Also, the ending was very satisfying, a combination of sad yet sweet and most definitely hopeful.

A little slow at first and I spent a little too much time trying to figure out how they were all connected instead of enjoying the story. Towards the end it truly picked up and the connections truly shocked me.
