I feel like the series has really hit its stride by this point - starting with the previous book and continuing here on a high note.
One of my favorite things about this series is how realistic the antagonists are despite being exaggerated caricatures of the personality traits they represent. The Baudelaire's are failed time and time again by their guardians, even the ones that are kind and/or well-meaning. This series does a fantastic job of depicting that abuse and neglect don't only come from people who are openly cruel, as well as the different ways and reasons this can happen.

I won't say anything about the book because I'm afraid I'll spoil anybody who will be reading this review but just wanna say that the story of this series is getting better and better, even more exciting and thrilling, even though it always doesn't have a good ending. So I'll never stop reading this book series until I've reached to the point wherein Lemony Snicket would say "happily ever after" or anything that has the same meaning as that. It's really amazing I swear. So don't put these books down like what Lemony Snicket told you to do. Just read and and try to finish the whole series until "The End" like what I'm planning to do this summer. Perhaps I'll finish this in just a month. :)

Felt like it was being written to a formula and like bad stuff just happened for no reason, especially unfortunate in a kid book. I liked the writing style and it was kinda funny but not enough to make me want to develop further with the series or reread the book.
