I thought this one was really good. It's one of those character driven thrillers/suspense and while they normally aren't my favorite I was heavily invested in this one. It contains some dark topics so be sure to check your triggers before reading this one Overall though I was really surprised to see that this one lived up to the hype and now I want to go back and read more from the author! This is my first book from her.

Loved this! Very dark but extremely well done. It was different than anything else I’ve read so it was a good change of pace
4⭐️ read via audiobook.
Wow, what a book! I really loved this, and glad I finally picked it up. It kept me intrigued right from the first chapter and I really enjoyed Sallys POV and learning more about her, and how she become the way that she was.
The story was getting more and more interesting as the book went on, and I really enjoyed the past POV of Peter, I think it really gave it depth. I wasn’t a massive fan of the ending - I felt Sally had come so far, and to revert back to how she was before felt such a shame.
I would highly recommend the audiobook, the Irish narrator was incredible!

I almost DNF but I wanted to find out what happened. Didn’t enjoy the simple elementary writing and it felt like the book just ended without resolving anything. Strange book.
Not what I expected. The horror aspect was brutal and depressing, as was the point. Loved the writing and the voice of Sally.
3.5 Stars. I tore through this story pretty quickly. Sally Diamond's story and that of her brother, Peter, was fascinating. I was a little disappointed there weren't many twists. I thought this book would be creepier than it was. I did, however, appreciate the in-depth analysis of what that kind of intense trauma can do to families and individuals. The book was mostly sad, but Sally was likeable, and I had hope for her future.
