This book was somehow deeply disturbing but also really enjoyable to read (as a thriller/mystery book lover). Well written, really well developed characters, and what bumped it down for me was the ending.

This is a dark and at times, difficult story. The characters are so well-developed it makes them seem real. I wanted to know what was going to happen, but didn’t want the book to end. I didn’t love the epilogue, but the rest of the book was so great!

This was a compelling well written book, but VERY dark. It didn't leave me feeling particularly happy.

Dark, Intense, Shocking.
This is the first book by Liz Nugent that I've read. I had seen this book all over booksta so I was excited to read it but I had a fair idea it wasn't my type of book. After reading it I can confirm it wasn't my type of book unfortunately but it was a shocking read that I would never have picked out for myself.
God me, it was begging on disturbing but I can very much see why it was a popular book. It was very well written, it contains an Easter egg or two in relation to Irish writers and the greats were also fascinating.
It probably wouldn't encourage me to read more by the author but I can see there being a very large audience for books like this one.
It was a 4 star read for me and was picked for our work bookclub. I bought my signed copy in Eason in Dungarvan.
