Like volume 1, I want to love this and I want to support it because it's adorable and the representation is great, but the actual story leaves much to be desired. While it's not confusing, it's difficult to follow and there just seems to be pieces missing.

i really wish this series was better because the art is so cute and the world is sweet but i am literally so confused the whole time. characters are introduced with no explanation, plot lines come and go out of nowhere, and the conflicts feel completely fake and inconsequential

Unfortunately, the problems I had with the first volume continue here: Julie and Selena don't seem like a super healthy couple. At least, they're not the cute fluffy romance I was looking for from this. They fight and are hurtful. Selena can be insulting, and Julie is clearly nervous and will be in tears. Plus, I didn't have any interest in the plot of this volume. I'm disappointed, because I love the art and the world, but I won't be continuing.

Chet continues to be my favourite, though, and I loved the Neopets references.

Same as vol 1: plot is all over the place, no idea what’s happening. Stars are purely because I like the artwork and the diverse characters.
