A solid followup to the first, but one that feels like it tried to fit a few too many ideas in at once. Much feels scattered, but the at its core this is a solid spooky read!

This wasn't as good as the first one, the plot was a little more all over the place. But it did have some good horror moments and some shocking deaths. Like I need more reasons to be afraid of the chainsaw guys in haunted houses...

Re-reading this book I realized that I had forgotten most of it, not because of it being bad, mainly bc my memory's ass.
I loved the introduction of new characters in this story, Jerri holds a dear place in my heart, I also love how queer this second book is, the first one had its bits and pieces but this second one just goes a step further and I loved that.
This one feels like a classic slasher sequel, the title of the book is hilarious, more people should just be putting "[Original Title] 2" in their books cuz it'd work on me.
I remember hoping a third book would come out of this when finishing this one for the first time, and when I randomly found the 3rd one on B&N a week ago I was like "NO WAY" and decided to re-read these.
Classic horror YA slasher stories that delve so deeper into societal issues like white supremacy, religious zealots, police corruption, these books are a great time and amazing social commentary, cannot wait to see what Book 3 has in store.
