Short Review: Am i the only one who understands why these "coins" were being placed on the eyes?! Hello they need them to pay the guy to boat them across the river of sticks so they're soul can get to the good place. It upset me that it never really was brought up and none of the main characters knew what it meant. People need to read more that's for sure. This books ending killed me too, most of these wrap up nicely, this one, heck no. Cliff hanger and it better be solved quickly!

I realize I'm a little late in the game on reading this series since the 5th Horseman was published in 2006 and it is now 2012, but I really must say the best time to read a series is when the author is further along in writing it because then you don't have to wait as long to get the next book. The best part about reading Patterson's series is that I know he has atleast written twice as many in this series as I have read so far and I really hope he doesn't stop yet. I absolutely love his writing style the chapters are so short and to the point that I can't stop reading I start on page 1 and in a matter of one sitting I am over a hundred pages in (which for me is surprising because being in law school doesn't allow much free time to read). This particular book has kept my interest for the intensity in the opening and I have noticed it is a very great talent of Patterson's to really sink the hook into his readers from the very opening pages. A Patterson book, or at the very least a Patterson book in this series, will grab you in the Prologue and not let you go until you have figured out the who, what, where, when, and why of the entire mystery.

For my first James Patterson, this was outstanding. This was what every murder mystery should aspire to be.

"The 5th Horseman" written by James Patterson with Maxine Paetro is the 5th in the Women's Murder Club series and is a hospital and courtroom thriller.
I'm still enjoying the series, this book contains all the usual James Patterson twists and turns, with fast page turning chapters and well developed characters. His writing style is uncomplicated and very easy to read and follow. I would recommend this book to avid Patterson fans and readers of quick and easy thrillers.

Great story

Another great story of the women's murder club. I was worried about Yuki for a while because of the intensity of her loss. This was a story that could make you think how it could happen in real life. Death hits home and this story had impact. Loved it. Can't wait to read number 6.

I can just fly through these books.

Rating: 3

Another decent edition in the Women's Murder Club. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first couple of books in the series, however.

Great read! As always, I wasn’t able to figure out the guilty person which is always a plus in mysteries. A new personal story for one of the girls, which is always interesting. Loving this series.

No new revelations from this book. It was nice to get to know Yuki a bit better, since she is now our 4th gal in the Murder Club. When I pick up this series, I know it's going to be at least a 3, and this one didn't disappoint. It didn't necessarily blow me away, either. There WERE some twists I didn't see coming, though!

I wouldnt say that this is my favorite, i guess it was just okay.not a big fan of the twist, not a big fan of the ending of the cases. But i still love the writting and stuff.
