I think it has been over a decade since I spent time with these ladies. Just like when you know you have a worthwhile friend, we were able to pick up where we left off without missing a beat. I will not let that much time past before I spend time with these ladies again.
Had a quiet and easy night tonight and finished this book in just a few hours. Definitely not as good as the first couple but still enjoyable. I do miss having more of the girls and the murder club. There are some interesting twists and turns at the end
Lindsay is back running the department and itching to be on the streets. Yuri has been ushered into the club and Cindy is looking for the next headline. Two cases appear this time, one is dubbed the car girl murders. Seems someone is murdering and posing young woman in expensive cars and no clues are left. The second case is Maura is sueing the Regional hospital for malpractice type deaths which have been made to look like accidents. The first case comes to conclusion and normally you have another 100 pages of nothing but a bizaree twist to an ending that you though had ended. This time you still need to see the hospital case to the end. This one maintained its build up and the ending was not expected.
I enjoyed this book much more than the last one in the series. The cases were more interesting and it was less focused on the stereotypical characters, which I liked. I did think that the end was quite rushed and seemed a little odd, but overall it was an enjoyable enough read.

I think there's a chapter missing before the epilogue. Why have two plots going if you're going to skip the most important part of one?

Two crazy cases going on with this one. I was left with questions with this one at the end. How did Lindsay figure out who it was and how did she track them down? I need answers on that one.
