Gripping story of a sociopath as he murders and covers up his crimes. It seems incredible that people believe his web of lies!

I really enjoyed this book regardless of how it isnt what I tend to read ! :D
The writing was easy to understand and portrayed Mr.Ridley in a very person and realistic way ? It made it really interesting to read through situations from his perspective

This is one of my favourite books. I love how the story is told from the perspective of the villain and it is one of the very few crime novels that genuinely forced me to turn every page without putting it down. There is a real feeling of uneasiness and performance throughout the book, and if you love descriptions of Italy as well then it's a win win.

One of my favourite books from now on. I just loved it.
The main character is so conflicted yet so relatable in a way. I was thinking: I understand what you’re feeling just not how you’re acting.

In had a difficult time to get into the book and disliked it at first. However, around page 100 I fell in love with the book
due to a plot twist: the murder of Dickie
. It is very interesting how Patricia Highsmith has portrayed Tom Ripley. You almost symphatize with him, the sociopath, and you secretly hope that his secret won't be revealed.

Some things were a bit unbelievable. Like when Marge had suddenly found the rings. And the envelope which said 'Don't open til June' was also a bit unbelievable. Why would someone forget that he had possessions of Dickie when these were obviously very important details for the invesitgation. Even at these moments, Tom wasn't suspected for the murder.

All in all, I loved this book and I thought that it was very interesting to read how a sociopath thinks.
