Loved it!
This was my second time reading it and I fell in love with both the characters! I love a good celebrity story. But I also think that this one is a bit different from the rest, it is less focused on the industry or the fact that Beatrice is a celebrity, but it is very centered around the falling in love of the characters.
The development that Beatrice went through, throughout the book is huge! And just comparing the two versions, you would not think them the same person. But her thawing felt natural and was well written.

EDIT (07/23/23): reread! i absolutely adore this book. the slow burn!! the tension!! beatrice and sydney's relationship is so warm and perfect. and their character arcs?? perfection. i read it this time with angela dawe's narration. and my god does she narrate like no other. she really brought everyone to life. im so excited for the next book in this series

“Very good”! In all seriousness, I loved this book. I was hooked from the very beginning and had a hard time forcing myself to put it down. Beautiful story and an amazing ice queen, age gap, sapphic romance. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars for me is the pacing at the very end. I just wanted more when they finally let themselves be together- the pacing the rest of the way through was perfect! Excited to read the others in the series!

Broken Beyond Repair is a good celebrity age-gap slow-burn romance that follows Beatrice, a famous actress, and Sydney, a woman hired to be her PA after Beatrice breaks her leg. I will admit it’s a bit slow to start and it took me a bit to get into the story. My interest picked up once Beatrice and Sydney started working together on Beatrice’s autobiography and started diving into the characters and their pasts, especially Beatrice. Beatrice is a true Ice Queen and it made me more emotionally invested in her as a character to learn what events in her past caused her to act the way she does currently. Sydney was my favorite character and her love for her VW camper had me laughing at each mention, and I really enjoyed Sydney’s relationship with Beatrice’s son, Alex. It did take me a while to get fully invested in Beatrice and Sydney’s relationship, but once I did, I was rooting for their much deserved HEA. Overall, Broken Beyond Repair is a good read. I will flag there are mentions of SA, so please do check the trigger warnings before reading.
