This book is a truck wreck because what just happened? First off, I hated the female lead since the very first page, but it’s all chill, I just have an allergic reaction to pre- pandemic books. Then they third act break up! Mega what just happened! And now she deceived him for his deceit. And he’s mad, but she’s hot so you gotta put aside the conversation and staff sucking each other’s mouthed first. Hello? Boy bye! I know I’m going to finish, but this book is just so frustrating

This book has not aged so well for me. Lots of problems, the bad drunken sex to begin with is a bit non-consentish. I remember enjoying Greer and Asher's story the first time I read it, but a few years later upon a 2nd read I'm finding much to be desired.

I love a lot of tropes, but the best-friends-to-lovers is definitely one of my favorites and just one of the reasons why I wanted to read The Billionaire's Favorite Mistake! I loved the synopsis and have also been a fan of Ms. Clare's ever since I read her Wicked Games just to identify a couple more. And while it took me awhile before I actually read The Billionaire's Favorite Mistake, I really enjoyed it once I did!

I wasn't too sure if Greer was going to be a very strong heroine when I first started reading, but that feeling didn't last long at all. Greer might be sweet, shy, and a little nervous, but she certainly doesn't take any crap from Asher after he screws things up. She's fierce, strong, and she makes him work for her. Greer doesn't immediately forgive him or trust him and I thought that was great. It was exactly the right kind move and I really like Greer - she is wonderful.

And I love Asher, but oh my gosh, he does some things that make you shake your head, facepalm, and ask him what he was thinking. He for sure has some cringe-worthy moments, but I promise you that he's actually a good guy and completely redeemable. Asher is smart and realizes that he loves Greer and he does anything he has to to try win her love back. Yes, he's a little devious, but it's out of love, so I can't fault him. Not only that, but he also is beyond sweet and thoughtful too. Asher stole my heart and made me fall in love him.

The Billionaire's Favorite Mistake is a fast read that will make you gasp, make you laugh, and put a smile on your face. It will make your heart ache, warm it, and melt it. The Billionaire's Favorite Mistake was a fun, sexy, excellent read and I loved it. I can't wait to read Taylor's story next and the other books in the Billionaires and Bridesmaids series!

The Billionaire's Favorite Mistake can be read as a standalone, it's told from Asher and Greer's POV, and they do get their happily-ever-after ending.

I’m afraid that I am going to be going against the grain in this review and not singing its praises. Out of the entire book, there were only a few things that I liked and one of them was the character we are supposed to hate (but let me say that I did not love him.) Asher was okay and in the end showed that he was a descent guy but I felt like how he tried to weasel his way back into Greer’s life was kinda crappy. As for everything else, I had some big problems with Greer and the rest of the plot.

I feel like no one should ever change for anyone, which is what Greer does to lure Asher during a party. This winds up badly and results in Greer pregnant and furious with the way Asher treated her (and let me say that Asher was completely drunk during this interaction and never took advantage of her. However, she was completely sober and took advantage of his situation and then judged him based on their interaction.) All of this leads to Greer cutting Asher out of her life and he doesn’t see her until he is at her father’s party and realizes that she is pregnant with his kid. The rest of the story is about how Asher tries to win Greer back because he has realized that he loves her and she is carrying his baby. But to be honest, Asher (while not an amazing person) was so much better than Greer and I didn’t like how she put him through all this crap when she was the one that started it for herself. The ‘test’ that she subjects him to at the end was kinda my last straw because she had been so dreadful to him and then continues to add to the dreadfulness. So, unfortunately, I was not a fan of this book.

This was okay but it was just so sad for so much of it. Greer's in a really terrible position and everyone around her appears to be absolute arseholes.

As soon as I read the blurb for this one I knew I had to pick it up. I haven't read any of the other books in the series so I wasn't sure what to expect.
The story picked up right away and Greer and Asher's first encounter was pretty awful and I honestly wondered how I was ever going to end up liking Asher.
From there the story progresses pretty quickly but not with the emotional charge I was expecting from a surprise pregnancy story. Especially when Asher first discovered that Greer was pregnant with his baby. Then the plan he sets in motion to try to win her over was so far fetched and ridiculous that I caught myself rolling my eyes. This just seemed like too much but I wasn't willing to give up on the story yet.
I'm so glad that I didn't. Once things picked up and more time was spent showing Asher and Greer actually bond and spend time with each other the easier it was to fall in love with both of them. Sure it was easy to see what was coming for them but the ride to get there was so worth it.
So, while this wasn't the emotional story I was looking for, overall I really enjoyed the book and would absolutely read more on the series.

 Really what a disappointment!

Greer got pregnant. And instead of acting like responsible adult, she agrees to give asher ( the father of the baby) a lesson of seduction and kissing.

Good God! I feel like reading a immature adult characters being given a responsible to be a parents. Some flirting part is funny but it does not make me smile or laugh whatsover.

I can not believe miss clare can conjures such a ridiculous story.

I didn’t like it. I’ve only disliked one other JC book that I’ve ever read, the rest were all 4-5 stars, and looking back on my review of the one I gave one star, it seems I had the same problem. Communication sucked, the heroines made shitty assumptions and acted awful because of them. But unlike that one I found the guy annoying as hell too. I enjoyed the moments when they weren’t being crazy but that was usually just the sex scenes or the lead up to and unfortunately the amount of annoying that went on was too much for me to ignore.

Oh well, can’t love them all.

Honesty I knew I’d be disappointed with this one when she
Spoilerdemanded he give up rights as a parent just because she hated him
. She was 100% doing it for herself and not her kid and it hurt my soul. But the drama she starts at the end? Seriously don’t even know where that came from and it just came across as her wanting to hurt him by
Spoilerbringing his ex back into his life
.

This one had a lot of problems, but was still fun to read. It was nice, at one point, to be told that Greer wasn’t as naive as she appeared. Because, girl, if a guy is wasted & his motor skills are crap, you’re not going to have a great sexual experience. Plus, what are you doing trying to get with someone who’s drunk? This is basic human knowledge. It’s also against the law.
