I liked the building of relationships of the main characters. The plot took a lot of fun twists and turns and didn’t end the way I expected. I enjoyed that I couldn’t figure out the ending upon first glance.

Like the first book, I really enjoyed this one. I loved how the Naturals all developed in their own ways and how we found so much out about all of them. The new characters were very interesting, and there were quite a few fun scenes in this book. The only thing that bothered me a bit was how it was sort of dragged out more than it needed to be, and all the twists were kind of clustered close to the end that
changed the whole case so that there were multiple killers, which kind of ruined the fun of trying to find out which of the suspects it actually was
.

Just as good as the first one. There was something missing for me which was the further development of the romance. Sorry, I’m a romance girly at heart 💜 I still loved the twists and figuring out who the serial killer was.

I felt like this book was a little more foreseeable for me than the first one.
I definitely didn't expect three killers. But I did expect Webber to be part of this. It just made sense that a person on the inside, a guard, was involved.
I love Cassie and Dean together.

Agent Sterling definitely grew on me. I feel like Redding could have been written to be a little more despisable. He was to easy for me to get over/to forget.

loved the found family aspect of the series getting stronger in this book (as well as the relationship developments), and i did enjoy the very complex mystery, but i feel like i preferred the first book’s mystery a lot more, because i wasn’t a big fan of how it was all revealed, as it would have been nice to have some more build up beforehand, and i also found it a bit hard to follow at times. some characters also kept getting on my nerves throughout certain parts of the book, however i think that this did help their characters become a bit more realistic

This is the second book in the series and it focuses on Dean, his history, and how that ties into the now.

Ohhhh I really enjoyed this one!! It was gripping and darker than the first book.

My ship WON and I hope it STAYS that way! Even if the “love triangle” really wasn’t necessary.

In terms or characters: Sloane was almost nonexistent and Lia was mostly annoying, always appearing in a scene just to be rude or intruding. Michael clearly walked so Jameson Hawthorne could run, because… I see where he’s coming from but something bothers me.
I do like Cassie, Briggs, I really loved Sterling and I’m thinking Dean’s character is the one with the most potential.

I did enjoy the Briggs/Sterling baggage and I’m hoping for some second chance romance in the next book.

Plot wise, I guessed most of the twists but was clueless regarding the development that would lead to them.

Honestly, this series is addicting and so fast to get through!
