Enemies to lovers, forbidden romance,  and single bed tropes are featured in this extra steamy romance. The characters really grew on me over the course of the story and their romance was spicy and sweet at the same time. I stayed up way too late to finish this one!

"Because the possibility of you is better than the reality of anyone else.”

There is something addictive in this shit because I am obsessed. By far my favourite in the series. I was giggling and squealing and just truly having THE BEST time (until the 80 - 91% mark, but we shall overlook that). On to the next.

I'm not sure if I hate Josh or Jules more... The first half of the novel I was loving the plot, an easy 4 stars. I really like the best friends brother/ sister's best friend storyline. I thought the tension and enemies with benefits was great! However, starting at the third act breakup it felt too much like sexual assault and abuse for me to enjoy seeing them get back together. The scene wasn't attractively spicy, it was heartbreaking and hurtful. It made me hate Josh so extremely that to have Jules apologize to him and be willing to get back together felt wrong. Jules' manipulation and unwillingness to simply TALK to Josh just made me angry. I was very close to DNF'ing because it felt too much like lies and poor choices wrapped up in manipulation.

Josh Chen is freaking hot. The spicy scenes in this book are not for the faint of heart... HOT HOT HOT. The spice level and steam in this book are astronomical, however the plot of this book is my least favorite in the Twisted series.

I saw this book coming from the begging of twisted love..but still so good.  Jules and Josh are my fav pair this far.   Would love to hear more about sone of the side characters…like Dante perhaps??  (I would say Christian, but I know he’s in twisted lies :)

Rating: 4/5 stars

Jules Ambrose and Josh Chen are sure of one thing—they hate each other. But when they begin an “enemies with benefits” arrangement, they just might realize that fundamental truth isn’t so true after all…

I loved SO MUCH about this book—Jules and Josh are both great MCs and their relationship was surprisingly sweet given that it started as hatred (or at least intense dislike). It was a true enemies-to-lovers romance, which is my absolute favorite trope, so I ate up the banter, tension, and explosiveness with a spoon. And that first date?!?! Let’s just say if someone planned that for me I’d be shopping for wedding dresses immediately.

All of that said, I dropped a star because there was a pair of choices (first an action from Jules and then Josh’s reaction to it) that I could not stand, and while I understand why they ultimately reconciled (that’s not a spoiler, this is a romance novel, come on), I only half forgave Josh myself.

Still, I’m having a BLAST reading this series, and I can’t wait for Stella and Christian’s story in Twisted Lies!

Recommended to anyone, but especially if you like: enemies to lovers; bromance moments; slow-ish burn tension

CW: Grief/death of parent; sexual violence; physical violence
