I borrowed this from the library hoping for something like a middle-grade version of Lindsey Davis's Falco mysteries, but I was sorely disappointed. The mystery and historical details were good, but I was completely turned off by the amount of Christian propaganda within the story.

For what it is, so good! It makes me nostalgic for Ancient Rome, which is what I want when I'm reading these sorts of things -- it's sort of the kind of book along the lines of A to Z Mysteries, or the Magic Treehouse books. Think that age group, think that style. Think that quality.

I don’t remember much about this book but I remember I loved the series and it just popped into my mind so I thought I should rate it

Probably not interesting for people over the age of 12 tho
