This book should probably be interspersed into the other books, it makes the character in later books make a lot more sense. I was DEEPLY aggravated by how teenage the characters were, but that's kinda the point so I can't take marks off. Hard to finish if you've read the series already because you know what happens.

4.5⭐️ Was told to read this first if you were going into the series completely blind and loved it. Slowish start getting used to all the characters but… Sam. Think about this one more than the others in the series cause it hit so hard.

I’ve never been so angry at a book before. First of all it was soooo slow. I stuck with it only to be shattered and heartbroken. The only character I loved was Sam. All that and I don’t get emotionally attached to Celaena. I really wanted to but ugh, she was an annoying disaster. I loved everything about the ACOTAR books so really hoping this series gets better.
