The second time reading this I found some of the writing a little tedious but overall it's one of my favorite stories and will always hold a specific place in my heart. The love story! The complicated villain! The dark atmospheric feeling of the Opera house and catacombs! Its everything I wanted to read today. Now to watch the movie to round out the day ^-^

musical is better :/ interesting choice for this to be mainly through raoul’s perspective, who is arguably the least interesting character. fun to read and gain a little more insight into the story with my background knowledge from the stage show though!
