This was a really great book that I blew threw. I was not at all surprised by the ending, I had started to assume that Lora was Cat about half way through the book, but I was super impressed that the ending made me want to go back and read the story again to find everything I missed. To seek out all the clues. That’s the making of a great thriller.

I would like more though. More of an explanation and more about how she escaped. Did she really waltz into the ADAs office as Lora and not get arrested or was this just the journals stories? Did she steal more money from book publishers? Where was she living how. Did she really call the FBI. What actually happen after she escaped at the airport? And how did she even escape at the airport?

This was a really good book but I like my books all tied up in neat little bows. This one left me with lots of questions and I wish I knew more about how Cat’s story ended.

I think ultimately my ho-hum response to Cover Story was not the book's fault, but was due to me just having binge-watched Inventing Anna on Netflix. The faux German heiress angle, living large with champagne dreams and a beer budget, didn't feel as fresh as it should have, but I was still surprised by the ending, which was nice. It's a quick read and enjoyable, but some aspects did feel predictable.

With serious Anna Delvey vibes, this is an addicting read about the crazy life of a high stakes con artist. Told through emails, text conversations and diary entries, this quickly captivates and keeps you glued to all the sensational twists and turns!

If you enjoyed Inventing Anna on Netflix, you will most likely enjoy this as well. I really liked the audiobook narration, it was very well done. I like that the plot is pretty fast paced, it did not drag on at any point
