Such a cute take on the third act breakup.

I love a grumpy X sunshine story and I really liked the flashbacks. I also enjoyed how all the current storylines were from Ama's perspective and then the past ones were Elliot until the point the 2 timelines converge.

This author is definitely a must read for any future books. The characters had interesting qualms and experiences and I really enjoyed their dynamic together.

this book was… wow.

i’m seriously about to burst into tears right now, but like… in the best possible way, if that makes sense. i absolutely fucking inhaled this novel. and now i’m just wandering around my bedroom aimlessly and wondering how the hell i’m going to recover.

everything about this was total and utter perfection. i have ZERO notes, ZERO qualms, and ZERO complaints. i seriously can’t wrap my head around how fucking good this book was!

i’m quickly learning that second chance romance is capable of inflicting extreme emotional damage. and if i felt myself warming up to that trope BEFORE, let me just say that this book has 100% solidified my love for it. this was executed so damn well, from the build-up, to the angsty break-up, to the painfully awkward aftermath.

i loved the dual POVs—getting inside ama’s head during the present, and living inside elliot’s head in the past. i loved how utterly obsessed elliot was with ama. i’m a firm believer that the man has to adore the woman a TEENY bit more for a relationship to truly thrive. this book took that notion and ran for the fucking hills with it. my standards are—impossibly—even higher than before. i will not settle until i have found my own personal elliot bloom!

if you read one romance novel this year, let it be this one! and don’t forget to thank me later, because you definitely won’t regret it

I liked this book but I wanted the romance aspect more. Romance was really underdeveloped and it left me feeling unsatisfactory throughout the book. I was waiting for romance and there was literally none. I am happy about the ending though.

General Description: Ama is a wedding planner who's asked to do a her biggest wedding yet. However, the couple only has one request: using a specific florist that Ama happens to have history with. Elliot Bloom knows Ama fairly well, but both don't necessarily want to work together as they have a rough history. However, in order to make the couple happy, they must book their differences aside (or face the head on) to make the wedding a success. Will the wedding go off without a hitch or will Ama and Elliot let their feelings affect their work? Can Elliot and Ama work out their history?

All the goods:
- The reality TV vibes this book gave me were immaculate. I know it's not a reality TV book, but it felt like one.
- Ama's growth in this book was fantastic to read about. I loved the side plots surrounding her.
- The spicier scenes in this book made sense to the plot and did not take me out of the book (shocking!)
- The audiobook was very well done and I did not want to stop listening to it!

The loss of a half star:
- Elliot just makes such a DUMB decision in this book. I was so frustrated with him that it took me completely out of the book for a bit while I processed what he did. Please note, it was not harmful, just so annoying.

Overall, if you're looking for a spicier book with some reality TV vibes, this is the next book for you
