7/10 It’s a Hallmark Christmas movie in book form. One of the better Christmas books I’ve read.
There were parts of this book where I had little understanding of what was happening, because there are more in the series, which I haven’t read.

The Christmas Cupid strikes again when a new doctor moves into town. Soren, a fireman from Canada who’s relatively new himself, teases Rob about the supposed Cupid. Rob’s surprised by his new neighbour and immediately attracted and when Soren introduces him to a life he didn’t know he needed, love blossoms.
Reasons I Recommend:
1) Fireman and a doctor small town romance that begins with amazing pjs
2) A group of friends who adopt with open hearts and
3) Another Christmas love story that delights Hamish.

But that's on me. I'm easily swayed, apparently, by an adorable cover and a firefighter protagonist. It's a solid story. Unfortunately, it's the first I'd read in the series I was a bit lost amid all the characters you would've otherwise already met and I tend toward a different ratio of plot to spice than in this one. Features both the 'wow, that's a lot of guys for such a small town' and instalove tropes, but handwaved with the running joke about Christmas Cupid .

I think i would have liked this more if I hadn’t listened to it. Glen Lloyd is one of my favorite narrators, until he does an American accent. Rob was voiced as young and immature, not a full ass adult doctor, and Soren just sounded like Kronk.
Speaking of Rob’s age… the number of times he was referred to as a silver fox, or at least nearing one, I got more and more frustrated. The man is THIRTY-SIX. I know you can go gray early but referring to him like this along with the naïve tone of the narration was off kilter for me.
I dunno, this one was a miss for me, I didn’t enjoy the plot enough to try and read it and see for sure if the narration was the issue so
