An enthralling thriller and Harris paces the book perfectly. Cardinal Lomeli is such a fascinating narrator and I felt a deep affinity with him. The belief of faith in spite of doubt is such a fundamental concept, and I found its’ depiction here thought-provoking and profound. The ending is abrupt and can feel a little silly but I found it more impactful to read than in the film.
