A lighthearted book filled with beautiful illustrations, and an informative glimpse into the lives of songbirds- including details that we would otherwise take for granted, such as how they teach their offspring survival skills and whether they like certain types of food better than others. My engagement did lag a bit at some points (wish there'd been perhaps a little less focus on the artistic process behind her drawings, as I thought this was supposed to be a book solely about birds and it threw me for a bit of a loop), but it was otherwise a nice little book to read over the course of two nights or so.
