3.5 rounded to 4 for Goodreads:

War of Dictates is an ambitious, dark, and heavy epic poem that tells history (from the Old Testament to the present) with the Jewish lore of fallen angels and demons. I would recommend not reading it before bed unless you want nightmares.

.

When it comes to poetry, I would say the average reader's main fear is, will I understand this? Especially since this is religious poetry, that fear is understandable. I'm not Jewish, but I am a Christian with a basic knowledge of the Old Testament and religious history and was able to follow this story decently well. For me, poetry is mainly about how it makes you feel anyway, and not necessarily the exact words; War of Dictates kept me terrified. There's a quote on the cover of the book that says the reader thought they were going to hell, and yeah, I would say that about sums it up. Read if you dare!
