I really liked the first book in this series, but every book after has been meh.
I was hopeful at the beginning of this one because we were back on Earth and there were hints that we were maybe going to get answers that we were waiting for in book 1. However, Arthur, who was the main focus of this book, basically just goes off chasing a woman.
I wanted to like the addition of Fenchurch, but it just feels like she was there for the male gaze (Arthur's gaze).
I really missed Trillian, and Zaphod actually, who only barely gets one mention.
I don't like that this series is not really interconnected and I have no idea where the last book is going to take us.
But because I'm cohosting the Hitchhiker's readalong, I'm going to find out.
