I love miniatures, watercolors, preludes, the works of small crystal perfection. This collection is almost more poetry than poetry, as Neruda weaves personalities and drama into time and abstraction, all with the tightly folded brevity that comes with the Spanish language.

This is a gorgeous, bilingual, illustrated collection of Pablo Neruda poetry. I couldn't help but pause on each page to appreciate the beautiful illustrations.

“If all the rivers are sweet
Where does the sea get its salt?”

So much to ponder. I read this book with a grin on my face.

Incredibly original book of poetry comprised of roughly four rhetorical (and usually impossible or absurd) questions per page. Very inspirational for poets, and helps explain what poetry is to the uninitiated. Poetry is a frame of mind, not an art form. Poems as we know them are simply what flows from that frame of mind.
