Another exciting story in the expanse series. I liked the more human-centric story of this one, although the end shows the ever-present nature of the protomolocule's story. I found this book suffered slightly by having way more points of view than the previous of the series, for example, I found that Filip's story and plot twist were slightly rushed.

Good, but I enjoyed the previous books a lot more. All the belter speak made some parts hard to follow, and there were a few too many one off pov for my liking. Still really enjoyed it though

Another strong entry in the Expanse series.
While a lot of this book is set up for the next one, there are some really great sequences I was quite shocked by.
The sudden death of a major character threw me for a loop, and I questioned it for a moment. But it does a great job of hammering home the jarring absurdity of how sudden a life can end.
More emphasis on the relationship Naomi has-or had- with her ex and her son. I look forward to seeing where that leads.
It's funny how in the last couple of books Holden has really taken a back seat to the other characters. I find that interesting. Perhaps something big is heading his way as the books continue.
