Audiobook Review. Dual narration. My one critique this time was that Mason Lloyd played Jerrok very whiny and almost petulant at the beginning, like a snide, pouting child, and it was very off-putting to me. Luckily that sort of tapers out eventually.

Another winner for me. In a continued break from the instalove that has been a hallmark of this series, Sophie and Jerrok start out working through not only a strong dislike for each other, but their own individual traumas. Forced to share a space, their relationship develops gradually as they get to know each other. There is definitely some early physical attraction, but it takes a little time for something more genuine to manifest and I really enjoyed that ride.

Also I'm gonna need a few more praise-kink reading recommendations because... yeah.

Check the CWs on this one. As mentioned in the previous book, Sophie has a history with being assaulted, and there is some potentially triggering content in this book.
