love the writing but this book really wasn't for me...corruption in a post apocalyptic world is very interesting as a show but in a book series it bored me

I loved this series. I didn't expect to like the political aspects but they played well with the story telling. The zombies were traditional zombies with a twist, which I really enjoyed. While the main trilogy follows Georgia and her adoptive brother Shaun, we even have several novellas set in the same world that allow you to come back and see how it started or how it was going at different parts of the timeline.

In all honesty, the Newsflesh Trilogy is one of the strangest trilogies I have ever read. Why is that? Well, I was expecting non-stop zombie action. Instead, the book seemed to focus more upon the politics and conspiracies of the world. Don’t get me wrong, it was entertaining – it just wasn’t what I was expecting.
So, as a forewarning: if you’re looking for zombie fighting this is not the book for you.
