A tragic memoir as Harry reflects on growing up in the toxic enviorment of the royal family and the invasive paparazzi that led to his mother's death and consumed his own life leaving to his split with the royals. Harry speaks with a deeply reflective voice of someone who has clearly spent years in therapy trying to unpack the toxic world he was raised in. He owns his mistakes and offers a deep empathy to his own family, even as he laments the state of disconnection.

Stunning. Moving. Lovely.
Fastest selling book of all time for a reason. We're all so intrigued by the lives of royals. What we've done to them out of public interest is disgusting. Beyond greed.

I was so moved by the telling of the story. Very pleased that he chose to do the audio himself. I love a memoir read by the writer. You feel the way they intended it to be heard. The way he talked of his mother gutted me. The way he spoke of his wife made my heart swell and then broke it again. Ugh. I have so many feelings about this book to process. What a wonderful opportunity to a glance at the true lived experience. Thank you Harry for sharing.

Meg said it appropriately. What a man. Never a spare.

I listened to the audiobook read by Harry. As someone interested in history and monarchies and the symmetries and symbolism that play out in the uncanny living fossils walking through life with “royal” blood, this didn’t disappoint. Harry, however, is too busy being a person to care much about the symbolism, deriding the evolution of the public’s interest into a sickening industry based on telling stories about royals without their consent. Harry himself has to flirt with this line as he gives complicated portraits of his father and brother—the very core of the monarchy’s legacy. I find this well-written. I appreciate the ghostwriter’s hand in helping Harry through the twists and anticipating public reaction to moments in this story. This book is a bold move—both unprecedented yet somehow still part of Diana’s legacy.
