This type of book aligns exactly with my interests so of course I enjoyed it. The Glee chapter was the only one that was a bit of a slog to get through. With the rest, it was genuinely interesting to read about the behind the scenes of how all these shows came to be and what made them unique. As much as I love to hear about messy set drama and gossip, the FNL chapter turned out to be my favourite with the way everyone involved seemed to put so much care into the show.

I'd be curious to hear about how these seven shows were selected... seems kind of wild to not open with 90210 when having a discussion about American teen TV. On a more biased note, though, I wish a genre show in the vein of Buffy, Roswell, or perhaps Smallville had also been included.

Overall, I had fun!

This was a delightful listen for someone that has always enjoyed pop culture, learning more about the world of TV production, and coming of age media.
