Fun read with fun facts. I wish that in some ways it were more fleshed out but did appreciate that the author touched on some of the controversy within Glee. Would be interesting to get a volume 2 with some more tv shows marketed towards teens.

This was a really lovely exploration of the driving forces behind some of my favorite teen shows. Glassman’s writing is both informative and entertaining, but I definitely recommend watching the shows before you read. I’ve seen 5 out of the 7 shows referenced, and really struggled to connect with the two I haven’t seen despite Glassman’s descriptions and added context.
