Nice flow. Version of Cinderella that I am most familiar with. Illustrations are pretty, have a French feel to them. Stepsisters are forgiven by Cinderella for their pettiness.

Caldecott award winning fine retelling of the classic tale. And by classic I really mean, the version Disney was clearly thinking of - with the fairy godmother, pumpkin coach, and the mouse horses. The art itself is a bit fanciful and not really my style. But really I want more from my fairytales - and there wasn't really anything extra here. At least there wasn't any bloody feet.

The Brothers Grimm are kinda metal for adding that dash of gore to a children’s story

Ashypet admittedly doesn't have quite the same ring to it

Read as part of the selected tales.
