lighthearted slow-paced

A collated works by James Fenton - the section is a little odd with long obscure works in favour of more memorable pieces in places. Additionally the layout made it quite dull to read (the poets are ordered alphabetically) and there is ranging disparities in terms of quantity given to a poet.  There was a noticeable lack of female poets throughout given this edition was published in 2006.

Some good poems but a lot of drag and odd poetic choices.

A collection of love poems that I believe has something for everyone. I'm very particular about poetry and generally dislike most of what I read but I found a great many poems in this book that I have been very pleased with.
