A Christmas novella set in the English countryside in 1909. Lady Hardcastle and Florence Armstrong, her Lady's Maid, are invited to Christmas at the Grange and the festivities have hardly begun when a valuable pearl necklace is reported stolen.

Wanted a short cozy book which would engage at a time when I didn’t want to think too much. And this was perfect. Guessed the end much earlier, but why not; that’s the hallmark of a good mystery.

I love the lighthearted nature of this cozy mystery series! It’s an easy read and reminds me of Agatha Christie’s mrs. Marple character. I’ll definitely keep reading the others in the series.
