⁕ The side characters in this book are absolute comedic gold, and the narration in the audiobook only added to their hilarity.
⁕ I didn’t really feel too much for Quinn one way or another, but Minnie’s character development was wonderfully written.
⁕ This book is advertised as a romantic contemporary, but I honestly think the relationship between Quinn and Minnie is more of a subplot that runs alongside them trying to sort out major financial and family conflicts. This isn’t a bad thing, just different from what I expected.

This was definitely a slow burn , closed-door romance with so many laughs but also some serious moments that really made you contemplate life. I really enjoyed this book and reading it while there's a snow storm just put me in the New Years mood.
So I really just have to ask, where do you want to be this time next year?

Moderate: Panic attacks/disorders and Miscarriage
Minor: Misogyny
The misogyny refers to the main character's thoughts (and maybe actions?) towards her employees near the start of the book. I felt that this wasn't explicitly resolved in the character development and could potentially be read as the author's POV coming though, not a character's flaws.hansbookshelf's review against another edition
