I know you think I loved it just because my boyfriend wrote it, but it is actually a well-written, great book!!!

I don't know what I expected, but I found Lowe to be entertaining, reflective, interesting. It didn't hurt that he referenced so many movies and actors from my teen years (he's five years older than I am). He does very funny impersonations of people (Cary Grant, Francis Ford Coppola); provides an inside look at the film industry that feels honest and thoughtful.

Very fun read!

This was a very entertaining listen (thanks, Karin!) His impressions are fantastic and the stories of young Hollywood circa the eighties is fascinating, though kind of disturbing. I'm glad his life ended up with a happy ending.

Before reading: mild/nostalgic-driven interest in Rob Lowe. After reading: huge Rob Lowe fan, the guy is a wonderful storyteller.

2023 Reading Prompt: A Memoir

Surprisingly enjoyable audiobook.

Really enjoyed this book. I ve always been a Rob Lowe fan, but I thought this was a great depiction of his life and it was very honest. He owns up to mistakes, and celebrates his successes. There is a lot of name dropping, but what do you expect from a Hollywood a-lister?

Rob Lowe narrates. He was excellent!
